BBC Day Two

“I HATE YOU!!!” I screamed at the top of my very raspy lungs. (And by screamed I really mean I whimpered.)

After giving Leah, my personal trainer during BBC, her loving term of endearment, she whipped around in her tall, lean, fit body, smiled and said, “You’ll love me at the end of this.”

Leah was making us jog uphill towards the foothills while doing sets of long, walking lunges. This is after we had already done an intense amount of spinning (she’s a spin instructor), more lunges, squats, push ups, an ab work out, and weights for our arms and back. I thought running up hill was absolutely the last thing I wanted to do.

I was wrong. The last thing I wanted to do was go back in our room and do the whole circuit over again, which is exactly what we did.

Leah is right; I will love her at the end of this. But right now, my body wants some Ibuprofen, a nap, and a hot tub.

  1. Ouch! Sounds so very unpleasant! I've always considered a personal trainer, but I have a hard time paying people to work me to death 🙁
