Okay, “prancing” may not be the best way to describe how I’m slowly trying to break in a pair of four-inch heels. I’m wearing them in the wedding I’m in tomorrow, and I’m kind of kicking myself for not breaking them in earlier. “Jessica and Heels” don’t usually go together in the same sentence. I prefer flats or at least something with a thick wedge that’ll kind of help prevent me from falling.
I’m terrified that I’m going to step wrong and my big foot (I wear a size 9 or 10) will decide to not be stable at that moment and I’ll fall flat on my face on the aisle in front of everyone. Eek! Maybe that’s why they have bridesmaids walk down the aisle with groomsmen, so they can help hold us up if we miss-step.
I bought these from Target because I think they’re adorable! Ruffles are in right now, and since I don’t want to wear a ruffly shirt, skirt, or any other type of clothing—why call attention to parts of my body with big, fluffy ruffles?—I thought these shoes would give just enough flair to my attire.
….Now I just need to fit in a pedicure sometime between now and tomorrow at noon.
