Oh, Sweet Georgia!
I know I say this often, but…I HATE THIS PART. I hate knowing that I have to go back home tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Albuquerque and everything that’s there (home, family, friends, my job, frakking delicious food, etc.), but Kenny isn’t there. My time with him is always so downright fantastic that it’s just silly to have to leave each other.Right now we have homemade rolls rising and almost ready to go in the oven, fresh Georgia peaches are peeled, sliced, and a cobbler batter is ready to bake, and we have a nice piece of steak and two fresh ears of corn ready to grill. Not to mention that we just got back from a great day/night in Savannah for the Fourth of July. Ah. Bliss.
I don’t want to leave. I love him, I love this house, and I love being here, so to leave seems kind of ridiculous. We just keep reminding ourselves that in 230 days we’ll be together all the time (except for when the damn military steals him away, of course).
P.S. The peaches are some of the best peaches I’ve ever tasted and I’m can’t wait for our peach/raspberry cobbler to blow my mind!
I want pictures of this feast! 🙂
I'm sorry you guys still have a bit longer to be apart. I felt the same way when Sean and I were married but still living apart. I hope the time goes by quickly for you!
