This Takes the (Cup)cake

Our save the dates are *thisclose* to being ready to send out to our friends and family, so seeing this floating on the Web made me pretty excited. Ya know that happy dance I talked about the other day? Well I just had an inner-happy moment when I saw these clever save the dates:

Style Me Pretty broke the news about these yummy-looking Save The Dates, and secretly wish I had thought of this delicious idea.

Here’s what the bride says about her creation:

From Marilyn
The story of our Save the Dates is quite simple. I love baking (especially cupcakes) and my fiance is a pastry chef at Nobu. We’re definitely foodie people and what better way of personalizing that than designing a fun std that represents us. After designing countless ideas, my fiance, Moony, casually mentioned a “nutritional facts” idea but with our wedding info instead and our idea was born. Cupcakes + Bride & Groom + Wedding Facts! Perfect. What a way to start off as a team, no?

  1. Those Save The Date Cards are so adorable! When my husband was in Iraq I sent him a small wedding scrapbook and had an embellishment that was almost identical to that "nutritional fact" type part of the card. Those are just so cute and when I saw them in the scrapbook store I couldn't pass it up.

    And I LOVE the cupcake!

  2. Ok…I've been thinking this for awhile, but I don't think I've told you this yet.

You have the cutest ideas, can find almost anything wedding related….you should be a wedding planner! I'm so not joking either. I think you'd be great at it.

  3. They are so cute! My wedding was 2.5 years ago and I still see things that make me say, "Oh too cute! Why didn't I think of that!?"

I haven't been by in awhile, so this is my first time seeing the new layout. I love it!
