An Insider’s Peek

Three months from today! Three months from today! Three months from today! Three months from today! OH. EM. GEE.

We’ll be saying, “I do,” THREE. months. from. today! Excuse me while I go start to hyperventilate. Nah, I’m just kidding…kind of. There’s still a lot to get done, but I think we’re on the right track. But holy cow! Three months from today I get to marry Kenny!!!! (Overuse of exclamation points, I know, but it’s totally worth it)

When we went to San Antonio for Kenny’s grandpa’s funeral, I was able to meet the rest of his family. Up to that point I had only met his maternal grandparents, sister, brother-in-law, and parents, but on this impromptu trip I met the whole gang: cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, grandma, etc.

Meeting them before the wedding seriously took an entire weight of stress off me, especially because they were all telling us how excited they are for the wedding. The fact that they’re all coming to the wedding makes me soooooo happy! And the fact that the wedding may not resemble Our Big Fat Hispanic Wedding (a post I wrote awhile back) after all is also fantastic!

Since most of his guests are coming in from out of town, he and I decided that we really need to get the ball moving on our invites, so I stopped making little nitty gritty changes here and there and officially signed off on the design a couple nights ago. I’m very happy with the way they turned out, so once they come back to us printed and cut, he and I will get to work putting them together and sending them out.

But for those of you reading this, here’s a small glimpse of our mock-up invitation.

Yup. That’s all you get to see! The next time you see more will be the entire set after we’ve glued, stuffed, sealed, and sent them out on their way around the world.
