It’s All About Love
Last night I started working on one of my projects and I’m so excited about it! While I’d love to tell you what it is, I can’t just yet, but I do need your help.
I’m on the prowl for love quotes, song lyrics, or phrases about love. I’m looking for more unique sayings and instead of going to some www.lovequote.com, I’d like to see what you guys like.
Here are some of my favorites to get your wheels turning:
…Because this isn’t going to be easy. It’s going to be really hard. And we’re going to have to work at it, every day. But I want that, because I want you.I want all of you. Forever. You and me. Every day.”–The Notebook.
You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams. — Dr. Seuss
I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,
A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife.
It’s you I like,
It’s not the things you wear, it’s not the way you do your hair–
But it’s you I like
The way you are right now, the way down deep inside you–
Not the things that hide you, not your toys–
They’re just beside you.
But it’s you I like–
Every part of you, your skin, your eyes, your feelings
Whether old or new.
I hope that you’ll remember, even when you’re feeling blue
That it’s you I like, it’s you yourself, it’s you,
It’s you I like.~Mr. RodgersTo the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world. ~Author UnknownSo how about it? Can you comment with some of your favorite “love” quotes?
Hey there is a GREAT website all about love! Called lovingyou.com! They have stories, quotes, pictures, everything. I also hit up that site around Vday to make my cards!
I'm going to vomit as I type this, but here goes:
"It's not every day that I meet a person quite like you. Perfect every way. I finally found the nerve to confess that it's you that I want. I don't care if I act a fool, I would damn near beg for you. Put aside all my pride. So don't keep me hanging here and this is falling stupid for you."
Marie Digby, "Stupid for You"
That's all I could muster. Enthusiasm escapes me.
I love quotes in general so I have books with them! Here are some I like;
"We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."
"Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control."
and one of my all time favs;
"If I could be any part of you, I’d be your tears. To be conceived in your heart, born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips."
"Just pin your heartbeat against my heartbeat and you'll see how well we rhyme"
"There are things you do because they feel right & they may make no sense & they may make no money & it may be the real reason we are here: to love each other & to eat each other's cooking & say it was good. "
"I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that. "
"She learned to love him before he thought it was even possible, so he didn't have a chance to hide & mess it up & while it was a little scary at times, mainly he could not even imagine the world without her there. "
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion… love actually is all around"
That first quote from When Harry Met Sally is one of my FAVORITE quotes ever!
This is one of the miracles of love: It gives a power of seeing through its own enchantments and yet not being disenchanted.
C. S. Lewis
The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected.
Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook
"God doesn't give you the people you want. He gives you the people you need to help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and make you into the person you were meant to be."
