Right To Bare Arms

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Despite the scorching New Mexican heat—it reached 102 degrees over here—I had a wonderful time with family and friends.

Today I’m doing a shameless plug for a new blog some friends and I started last week. I’ve known these women since Kenny’s first deployment two years ago, they’re from a military girlfriends and wives community and they literally helped me survive that first deployment. Since then, I’ve met two of them in real life and consider them as close to me as friends I see in person every day.

Besides our men being in the military, we also noticed we had something else in common: We are all women of different shapes and sizes, but focused on getting healthier by working out, eating right, and being accountable to each other.

Our blog is called “Right to Bare Arms” and we would love it if you’d stop by, follow us with our journey to becoming healthier, and maybe join in on some of our blog posts.

Here’s a snippet from our “About Us” section so you can know what you’re getting into before clicking over:

We are a group of women spread across the miles, bound together by the Armed Forces. We are wives, fiances, and girlfriends of our men in uniform and we are working on our “right to bare arms.” Here, you’ll find our progress to become fit and healthy with an array of opinions, workouts, recipes, and any other health-related material we can find.

And while I’m on the topic of shameless plugs, did you know I have another blog all about 101 things I plan to accomplish in 1001 days? Yup, and I just updated it over the weekend. It may not seem like much, but right now I only have 89 more things to do by September 28, 2012. You can check out Jesstagirl’s 101 here:

Okay, shameless plugs are now over! Thanks for reading 🙂
