Friday Fill-in (on Thursday)

Here are my answers to Wife of a Sailor’s questions:

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

What is something you wished you’d learned to do earlier in life?
Sew. I’m sure it’s something I could pick up and learn pretty easily if I tried, but it seems like a precise skill and I’m not sure if I have the patience for it.

What is your biggest pet peeve with the military?

I don’t have any peeves regarding the military. Do you? Ha! Just kidding. I don’t like the uncertainty they have with scheduling. It’s a little bit ridiculous how so many competent people can’t figure out how to make a schedule and stick to it, or make and send orders in a timely matter. So frustrating!

What tourist attraction near you have you never seen?
I’m in Georgia now but I haven’t seen a Braves game yet and I REALLY want to! He’s out of town now, but I think (and hope!) we’re going to see one when he gets home.

What are you avoiding doing right now?
Working out. I usually work out in the morning, but this morning I went to Weight Watchers and it kinda messed up my whole morning routine. I should probably go now so I don’t feel guilty later, especially since I took up the challenge to workout every day for a month (here).

Wine, beer or liquor?
Vino, particularly Chianti and pinot grigio ! I’ve recently discovered that I’m not a huge fan of beer anymore. That’s not true. I like a few beers: Blue Moon, Corona, Landshark, Heineken—I like the lighter beers. And as for liquor, I like flavor vodka (blueberry and raspberry especially) with cranberry juice. It’s DELICIOUS!

I also wanted to show you all the results from my Tea Time poll. They make me a little sad, though, not gonna lie. Thanks for voting, everyone! I loved reading all of your comments about how you take your tea 🙂

  1. so, now i totally feel like i'm stalking you or something, but i was at weight watchers today, too! we must set up an ice cream (maybe sorbet or frozen yogurt) making date soon!

  2. I've been avoiding working out too…for about a year. Actually, I'm pleased to say we're gym shopping right now, so I'll be getting back on track soon!

  3. Just discovered your Blog and I love it! I had the same pet peeve with the Military, I'm sure most spouses do. Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. Sewing does take a lot of work…I made Josh a quilt while he was deployed. That sucker was a labor of love, let me tell you. But all worth it in the end!
