Friday Fill-In

Whoa, look at me actually filling one of these out and posting it on Friday. Sorry about the double postings this week; I’ve had a lot going on and wanted to share it all 🙂

So, on to the questions! And for those of you who aren’t military spouses, these are questions for you, too! Feel free to play along.

Are you a night owl or an early bird? Early bird. My eyes start to roll back into my head around 10:30 these nights. But I can be up at the crack of dawn ready to go. My husband, on the other hand, would sleep until noon or later if I let him.

What makes you jealous? I get jealous when I see couples who never have to say bye to each other. There’s a good chance a six-month deployment will occur when we move to our next base. Being away from him for that long is something I can’t fathom. I know I can do it and will be able to handle it when the time comes because I’ve seen friends first hand make it work, but sometimes I get so jealous that other wives will get to see their husbands every single day for the rest of their lives.

Have you started Christmas/holiday shopping yet? When will you finish? (There’s only 63 days left!) Thanks for the reminder. No, we haven’t done any shopping yet. We draw names in our family and we don’t draw until Thanksgiving. Plus, we’re going home for Christmas, so we may just ship things home…not too sure yet.

What would you have a personal chef make you tonight? I would have Alton Brown and The Pioneer Woman have an iron-chef style competition at our house. How freaking amazing would that be? Then my husband and I could taste both of their foods and determine who the best really is (I think it’d be a tie).

Where was your first kiss? My first kiss was completely terrible, but the location completely makes up for it. It was with a boy named Lorenzo and it was in Florence, Italy. It was awful, because we were at some Italian club (I was in Europe for a school trip) and this dude…Lorenzo, completely slobbered all over me! But whatever, I had my first kiss in Italy and that is awesome 🙂

  1. I wish my family drew names! I can't convince my siblings to do it though. Between Chris and me, we have 9 siblings… we've got a lot of shopping to do!

  2. First, having your first kiss in Italy is awesome! Second, your idea for the iron-chef style competition is amazing, I pick The Pioneer Woman to win!

  3. I love the dinner idea. Some of my friends and I have thought about doing an Iron Chef competition just for the fun of it. And I get the jealousy thing too. That's basically what I thought, but didn't articulate it as well as you.

  4. Oh my gosh, the Alton Brown vs. PW cook-off would be awesome! Great answer.

This is my first time checking out your blog- BEAUTIFUL photos!
