Hello, I’m…
I’ve gained several new readers recently, so I thought this would be a great time to get to know each other. A friend of mine posted something on her blog that intrigued me enough to blatantly steal it, rephrase a few things, and post it here:
Yeah, you.
The one sitting at the computer right now reading this.
The one who comes and reads my blog every day (or every other day, or every weekā¦or whenever!) and never comments.
What gives?
The truth is, I want to know YOU! You know all about me and I canāt keep up with you and get to know you if you donāt let me know who you are!
Donāt feel like you have to leave an intelligent, witty, well-thought-out comment. Just be you. Whoever that is. š
Today my challenge is for you, dear lurkers, who watch and read in silence to come out of your blogging comment bondage and say hello. Tell me about you. Who you are, where you blog, what your hobbies are. Tell me what you like about my blog, or donāt like. Tell me anything you want, just come out of hiding.”

What is a list of songs that sums up your life so far? Oh geez. “Leaving on a Jet Plane” was the first song that came to mind.
What is your favorite kind of pizza? Despite enjoying a delicious homemade Pizza Week, I still like enjoying a simple, red-sauce pizza. If mushrooms, onions, and green chile are part of that pie, then even better!
What are three good things in your life right now? 1. My husband. He’s absolutely the most amazing, supportive, loving man I’ve ever known and I’m honored to be his wife. 2. My family. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting anyone in my family then you know how awesome they are and how close we all are. I love that I know all 26+ of my first cousins and that we get together as often as we can. 3. Friends near and far. I have made some absolutely amazing people at this base who have helped me at the drop of a hat. There’s an unspokenāand sometimes very loudly voicedābond between fellow military wives and I’m forever grateful for each and every one of them. And with that said, my friends from back home are still a very big part of my life and I’m so happy that we still keep in touch and always pick up right where we left off.
Super cute! Now that there's that stats thing, it's awkward to see how many people read each post and do nothing! Before I just knew when I had 90 some followers and 3 comments, something was up! Now, knowing a post was read 50 times and there's 2 comments I want to know who those other 48 were and what the deal is!
I hope you get to know more about your readers!
ditto on the super cute…I think I'm stealing your idea, LOL. Yes the LURKERS…but even if they don't comment you know they are reading…When I first started blogging it took me six months to get over the fear of saying the wrong thing to just say something…LOL..so, maybe thats the deal…I comment when I have something to contribute, but I feel that most of the time reading the Mil-blogs are lesson…and I dont' have much or anything to contribute. I have to admit, I come to read occasionally but I don't think I have commented. Your blog is sweet and insightful, and sometimes it feels good to know there are military wives out there going through the things I am going through. (I mean, I know there are, but…well, it's hard to explain.) I have a blog too, mostly just my family reads it, but it gives me peace to write. Sorry for not posting sooner. I guess I just never feel like my comment would be "the right one", like it would come out stupid or I'd sound older than everyone else, which I guess I am. ANyway, I will be back now and then and I promise to comment more. Happy Thursday!
Hi I'm Jenell, not sure how I came across your blog, someone mentioned it and since I upgraded all my blog stuff I've added yours to my reader. I was away from my darling because of a work promotion, I could still see him on weekend and talk on the phone all the time. Your blog keeps me in perspective.
Well you know I read, but sometimes I don't have time to comment! š Thanks for posting my link!
Great idea! I always wonder who my anonymous readers are…and why they're anonymous. Exes? Stalkers? Weirdos?
Hello! I'm a new reader and a Jess too š Im just your average girl geek next door who's married to an airman. I blog over at: http://justageeknamedjess.blogspot.com/
I think I've commented once, maybe twice before. Hey, I did sign up for the postcard swap! I'm a Georgia native newly married (okay, 1 year) to a Navy submariner. I like your choice in content, and I like that you know how to write. It clearly shows on your blog. And thank the LORD for proper spelling and grammar somewhere on the internet.
If you are PCSing and get the chance to go to Peterson in Colorado, DO IT!!!
I'm not a lurker but I do tend to do some drive-by post reading. I'm trying to be better about not doing that as much. š
I think of you every time we go to Albuquerque but most especially when we drive by the building where "Albuquerque The Magazine" resides!
I'm Stefanie. I've been reading for sometime now, and even post a comment every so often. I used to have a blog, but I deleted it because I just didn't have time to keep up with it. I don't even remember what it's called. My husband's in the AF, we've been married for 12 years, and have 3 kids. I want to sign up for your postcard swap, but haven't yet….just because I've been lazy. LOL š And, I'm kinda in a foul mood right now (sorry!), so I don't really have much else to say. š
Hello, I got to your blog because it was linked somewhere with a bunch of milspouses, might have been the blog that does the friday fill ins. I blog about anything that comes to my mind – hubby, deployment, work, God, random thoughts, pretty much anything.
Hi, I clicked on your link for the Milspouse Friday Fill In. Figured I'd comment or I'd get in trouble. š
I also love making homemade pizza!
Where are you in GA? My husband in AD Army and we just left Ft. Gordon, and are currently in Germany.
I came across your blog thanks to the MilSpouse Friday Fill-In. Looking forward to learning more about you and your exploits as a fellow milspouse!
I loooooove homemade pizza!
Hi. This is so strange, because I have been reading your blog since before you got married. I found your blog through your awesome brother and sis-in-law(yes I have the privilege of knowing them). I live in albuqueruqe and love green chile. And although I am only 17 I just love your story and blog. š
