I knew there would be more than a handful of girls changing in and out of clothes the morning of the wedding, so I made a little warning sign to keep boys away:
“Please knock before entering. Ladies only, please!”
Before slipping into my wedding gown I had some very important business to attend to…a certain computer matter. Because, you know, it was kind of a big deal.
There’s that Panda Express sneaking in again!
With that out of the way, it was time. Time for the dress every little girls dreams about. (Okay, truth-be-told, I didn’t dream about it when I was a little girl, but I sure as heck thought about it once I had a pretty ring on my finger!)
At this moment I was so overcome by giddy emotions I remember my cheeks literally hurting from smiling so much. I was about to actually become a bride. I was also hoping and praying it would fit—remember, I bought my dress two sizes too small!
This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of me.

With my dress barely hanging on for dear life—it had to be laced up—the girls got to work making it as snug.

I love my mom’s expression in the background.

I wanted my dress as tight as possible, but loose enough that I could still breathe. I think Laura only heard “as tight as possible,” because she literally gave it her all:

Another favorite picture from the day!

I loved having my best friends there with me, and I think they enjoyed it a little bit, too!

Lacing the dress was a lengthy process, but so worth it in the end!

Once it was all laced, Laura needed a couple more hands to even and straighten everything up.

And with one more minor—but very important—adjustment, I was almost good to go!

What gorgeous pictures! I LOVE the last one! Nothing like some *boobs* to make a good pic! Cute panties too! I never thought to get a pic of mine- Navy blue with a cream lace trim!

Yes, kudos to you for not wearing a thong! 🙂 Way to buck the trend!

My friend did the exact same thing. She bought the last dress in that style in the state, she needed a 14 and they only had a 10. So she got lacing put in the back. Great solution, I thought!
