Happy Hump Day!

1094391708_36afA-S.jpgPosting is going to be kind of light over here for the next week or so, because we have guests coming into town! Tomorrow afternoon my mom, dad, and grandma are flying in to spend Thanksgiving with us. While they’re here we’re going to take them to Savannah and Callaway Gardens up at Pine Mountain, Georgia. I highly recommend you check out Callaway if you live in Georgia and have never been. It’s a wonderful, beautiful, relaxing place to visit.

Speaking of, I really need to do an entire post on Savannah and Callaway. If I can get my act together, I’ll try to have those ready to go up after Thanksgiving. Have you been to Savannah? What’s your favorite thing, place, restaurant out there? We have our favorites, but I’d like to hear about yours!

I have a Thanksgiving recipe I’m considering sharing with you—the best darn green bean casserole you’ll ever taste—but I need to get my grandma’s permission first, since she created it and all. If she gives me the green light then I’ll post it here on Friday. It’s so good that I’ve had people get extra on their plate just to take home and eat it later.

With all that said, I wanted to remind you to link up your postcard! We had close to 40 people sign up and only nine have blogged about it so far. Just a friendly reminder 🙂

  1. Aww…Callaway! I haven't been there since I was about 10!

As for Savannah, oh man, I love that city! I'm a Girl Scout (Gold Award & lifetime membership!), so Juliette Low's house is a must, especially with my mom. And for restaurants, Paula Deen's the Lady & Sons! Go for lunch and you won't be hungry until breakfast 2 days later.
