2010: Year in Review

Is tomorrow really the last day of Twenty Ten? So much happened this year that I almost want to pinch myself to see if it all really happened. I owe so much of my sanity to you, my readers, and I know I say this a lot on here, but I’m truly thankful that you take the time to read my blog.

I thought it would be fun to take a peek through some of my posts from this year. Maybe you read them (thanks!) or maybe you’re new or missed them the first time. No matter what, here are my top 10 most commented blog posts from 2010! Enjoy šŸ™‚

The highlight of 2010 was marrying my husband in February. It was beautiful, romantic, and unbelievably perfect. (And yes, I still plan on finishing my recaps by our first anniversary. Get ready for a lot more wedding posts.)

Technically, these were taken in 2009, but I posted them after the wedding. I took “boudoir” photos and I had an absolute blast. They were classy, sexy, and made me feel incredibly gorgeous.
The worst part about being a wife in the military is dealing with deployments. The best part about being a wife in the military is the homecoming.
I entered this photo in Pioneer Woman’s photo assignment and it made into her first group—I was beyond excited. I then entered the same photo in I Heart Faces: Photojournalism challenge and it came in second place. I was over the moon for both of these!

I don’t know about you, but I had a blast with this blog hop! Anyone up for doing another one? Maybe a crock-pot hop this time? (Oh wow, I could really go for a cupcake right now.)
Ha. I’m glad I can laugh about this now. But seriously, sometimes my shoes make me look fat!

I think this means I need to make more cupcakes in ’11. These were a gigantic hit, and I’d also like one of these right now.
Decorating our home helped get me through the initial shock of my husband deploying on such short notice. Your comments helped me over those first few days.
I don’t have a photo for this one, but it means so much to me. My husband is my rock and even from far, far, far away, he can make me feel beautiful. I pray that every woman experiences the way he makes me feel every day at least once in their life.
This is another post without a picture. Your comments took me from feeling completely alone and isolated during a time when my outlook was low, to being wrapped in a gigantic hug. So incredibly thankful.
This technically isn’t on the “Top 10,” but it is the most-viewed post on my blog. I keep saying that I’m going to redo the photos and update the post, but I never get around to it.

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve tomorrow. I also hope 2010 brought you much joy, little sadness, and hope for the future. Here’s to Twenty Eleven!

  1. This is a great idea for a blog! I may have to steal it if you don't mind.

I always love reading about how beautiful your husband makes you feel. I am very insecure about my looks, and my husband is absolutely wonderful about trying to make me feel beautiful. It, too, hope others have that in their lives. I don't know where I would be without him.

  2. Thats such a great post, as for the favor's. Its funny, I found them at a store pre-made, thankfully I didn't have to do that many crafty things this year. Except all my favors, out of town guest bags, and wedding details of course…

How did you find out about the "pillow talk" photos, like where did you get someone to take pictures?

Not sure if its all worded right, but this post was awesome, and had beautiful pictures that documented your journey.
