reverb10: one word

I often get caught up with life and I forget to take a moment to reflect and just….be. My blog friend, Ali (His Birdie’s Nest), recently posted about #reverb10 and I was so intrigued that I decided to participate. Instead of trying to rewrite what this is all about, I’m copying and pasting from KimberlyMichelle.com:

Reverb10

This December, I’m going to be participating in #reverb10. It’s basically a way to close out your year creatively by responding to creative prompts and sharing your response with the world through your blog or tweets or pictures. Usually the twelfth month of the year is filled with stress and chaos in preparations for the holidays, so I thought it would be good to spend my creative time both online and offline this year. Last year, you may have seen this movement in the blog/tweet universe as #best09. This year, it’s bigger and better!

Each day, there are new prompts (mostly written by published authors), and you are asked to respond to them daily throughout the month. If you’d like to participate on your blog, just fill out the short form here.

I typically only post once a day, but for the next month I may be double posting, so I apologize in advance, but I’m excited about this project. I’m going to try to do this every day, but if I miss a day I’m not going to stress over it.

December 1 One Word.
Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you? (Author: Gwen Bell)

BLESSED.

So many things happened this year that I really truly believe I’m blessed. I married the love of my life surrounded by friends and family. And despite going through a deployment shortly after, I was blessed with a support group in my new town and here on this blog and twitter. I am blessed with a family who supports me and my husband and is always there for me. I’m thankful and blessed that when hard times do roll in, there are people I trust and who help carry me through those hard days. I am so blessed.

Adventure

We will most likely PCS next year and as of right now we have no idea where that may be. There will also be another deployment and who knows what else in 2011. It’ll most certainly be an adventure.

  1. So awesome! I've been wondering about that Reverb thing I've been seeing on twitter. I'm sad I didn't know about it until now. Maybe I'll do a catch up post or something. As long as I don't sign the contract I can do it the way I want right?? LOL!
