Holiday Card Giveaway!
Shutterfly is pretty spiffy. I blogged about them last year, but I never showed you the card we sent out for Christmas Valentine’s Day.
Did you catch that? It wasn’t a typo; we sent our Christmas cards out in February. Last year I wasn’t exactly feeling the holiday spirit (read about my dreary holiday here), so instead of spreading cheer, our cards sat in a box until January.
We actually got a great response from family and friends when they got our cards on Valentine’s Day, so we’re considering making that a tradition. The thing is, I’m a sucker for cute Christmas cards, so we may end up sending them in December. Who knows! Here are (more than a few) of my favorites:

air mail love (similar to ours from last year) |
And if you’re looking for something a little more unique, Shutterfly also offers custom calendars and other fun photo gifts. I love the quality Shutterfly provides and they’re inexpensive enough to fit your budget.
Speaking of budget, how would you like to score some free cards to send out this year? Shutterfly is generously offering three lucky readers a coupon code good for 25 free cards of your choice (code expires 12.31.11).
This is the first year I won’t be home to celebrate the holidays with my family, so I’ll be missing out on dozens of traditions. To win: leave one comment below telling me about your favorite holiday tradition! The fine print: deadline to enter is November 13 (Comments will close at night for meāaround noon EST). I’ll pick three different comments using random.org and announce the winners the following day! Please leave a valid email address in your commentāif I can’t get in touch with you I’ll pick someone else!
I am liking that airmail design too since our Christmas cards will be going a long ways to home!
This year my husband and I will be most likely alone for our holiday celebrations so we are trying to come up with what will be our traditions.
purchasing and decorating our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving =}
I was just browsing holiday cards!
I love making baked goods to bring to all the parties. It's also a great (and cheap!) gift.
Ummm, yes!!! Just missed out on a house party where I could have received a free Shutterfly book. Boo! So, maybe I will be one the lucky winners! We will see! š Here is my e-mail š besmall13@gmail.com
Love you!
We used to buy a new family christmas movie every year, and after unwrapping our one gift allowed on Christmas eve [which was always homemade pajamas] we would sit down together and watch it!! It was just nice spending that time together, no matter how old or young we all were!

Growing up living all over and having divorced parents made me hate Christmas. I mean, absolutely despise the entire holiday… now that I have the hubster, I am LOVING Christmas and although we do 4 Christmases in 2 days – it is wonderful to share the crazy with him š
So glad that you 3 can share this together this year! Maybe you can stop by an Austrian or German winter market, yum…. I just love those!
This is the first year we can't visit family for the holidays (thanks to pregnancy), so I don't know what traditions we'll have since we're still working on it. I do know we'll go to church, so I guess that's a favorite tradition!

My fav Holiday tradition is we each pick out a new ornaments every year for the tree. My hopes is to one day have two trees in our home — One traditional and one strung with popcorn garland with our special ornaments š
My favorite holiday tradition is baking with my Mom. Every year since I was 10, we pick a new (incredibly complicated) cookie to add to our collection. It's so fun, we get to spend a whole weekend together, and my dad loves testing out the new recipies!
My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas Eve church service, then our family each opens ONE gift from under the Christmas tree.
My favorite tradition is going to Midnight Mass Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. We always get there around 11:15 for a half an hour of Christmas carols by the choir. I don't know why, but there's something about that mass that is just beautiful.

my favorite holiday tradition is decorating the Christmas tree!
My favorite tradition is making cookies with my mom, 2 aunts and sisters.
This will be our first Christmas as a married couple so we have yet to make our own traditions but my favorite thing to do with my family would definitely be wrapping up presents for my nieces and nephews with all of my siblings. As soon as they are asleep we all run downstairs giggling like little kids as as wrap up their gifts.
My favorite tradition is the day after sales shopping with my mom! We go every year and scoop up all the good decorations on sale and use all the gift cards we get as presents!
We don't have a lot of traditions yet, but one we do have is getting a new ornament for the tree each year. It's fun to look back on previous ornaments and remember all the memories linked with them š
