My husband and I spent this weekend along Italy’s ankle, better known as the Amalfi Coast. The trip was absolutely perfect.
I took tons of photos, but since I’m extremely behind on writing about our travels* I’m going to give you a quick sneak peek now, courtesy of the few I took on my iPhone. I instantly posted these all over the place (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), so if you’re seeing them for the fourth time, my apologies š
We took this trip with a travel group on base. They have weekend trips to all sorts of locations around the area (Italy and other countries), and we just couldn’t pass up this trip. It was perfect and I can’t wait to tell you about it more in depth.
On the bus at 10ish p.m.
An Italian “truck stop” with the essentials!
Capri.
The Blue Grotto. LOVED it. Some people said it was overpriced, which it was, but I would pay to go in there again in a heartbeat. #nofilter
Others waiting to enter the Blue Grotto.
Amalfi Coast. Just off the side of the road. #nofilter
My first sunhat…why have I never owned one before?!
Lunch one day. We splurged one day on one of the best meals I’ve had. Calling it “delicious” is an understatement.
The area’s known for their lemons. I was shocked at how ginormous they are. Lemoncello, anyone?
Pompeii
*Still to come (someday): Burano, Italy; Plitvice Lakes, Croatia; London, England; and Amalfi Coast, Italy.
Loved everything about your trip so far. Can't wait to see more pictures. And you look adorable in that new hat – or is that just a grandma talking!! xxoo
I think I look like a boy in hats, but you may have made me brave enough to try a sun hat! Also, I discovered those Nutella to go containers in Tilburg, Netherlands a few years ago and I am now spoiled!
Oh my goodness. All that food looks SO GOOD!
You look so cute in that hat! What a fun trip!
