Looking Back at Twenty Twelve

I’m not gonna lie; I’m excited for 2012 to end and can’t wait to ring in 2013. Although, to be honest, I don’t even think I’ll technically “ring” in the new year. I’ll be shocked if I can stay awake until 10 pm tonight—jet lag is no joke, especially when pregnant. It’s not that this year was bad, quite the contrary, actually, but I just have so much to look forward to next year, specifically in the coming weeks!

I also want to share a quick apology; I know my posts have been lacking this year. I just did a quick look and they’re down significantly. I mean, shoot, I still have trips from April and May that I haven’t shared, and I really want to talk about the cruise I went on in September. Shame, shame on me. I’m hoping to stock pile some posts so I can publish them once the baby comes along, that way it won’t be so quiet around here. Good plan? I think so!

Well, without further delay, here’s a look at my Twenty Twelve. Consider this your quick Cliff Note’s version from the past year 🙂

January

February

We celebrated Carnevale here, here, and here!
You’re going to want to click those links—lots of fun photos!
March

April
(and now I’m hungry)
I shared our home with you: downstairs, upstairs, and my favorite part of the house
May
In May we went to the Amalfi coast. I showed you a sneak peek and never followed up. I have hundreds of pictures I still need to go through. I WILL post about it. I will. I will.

June

My husband and I visited Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, and it was amazing!

July and August
This was the month that the dreaded deployment started, but I was prepared! I made a list of goals (I should probably update what I accomplished!), armed myself with optimism, and found myself busier than ever.
I also went home for two weeks and had some wonderful bloggers share some tales:

I started sharing Bumpdates! Week 13 and week 14
September
I finally shared our trip to England!
The Portobello Room (where we stayed)
More bumpdate! Week 15, 16, 17, and 18
I sent my husband a pickle-themed care package!
October
  I shared some pregnant thoughts

And then there were more baby things:
How we told my parents (a video that’ll make you laugh and possibly cry)
The Gender Reveal (another video featuring my husband!)
More bumpdates: week 19, 20, 21, and 22

I started recapping the trip with my parents:
(more from their trip out here in 2013!)
November
More baby stuff posted this month (it’s kinda the only thing on my mind these days!)
Bumpdates: 23, 24, 25, and 26 weeks
A pregnancy update: Part one and part two
Tday carepackage2
December
more bumpdates: 27, 29, and 30 weeks (I skipped 28 and 31 will be up tomorrow)
Whew! How’s that for a “quick” recap?! Even if I didn’t blog up to my expectations—especially in the last half of this year—it’s been a lot of fun to revisit everything in this post. I’ve loved reading all of your comments and look forward to interacting with you more in the new year!
