Cruising with Celebrities

There’s no question that most of America is feeling a pretty big chill in the air these days. Actually, while I’m typing this I’m wearing fingerless gloves, a tank top, a long sleeve shirt, a sweater, and a scarf…and I may be inside where it’s 68 degrees. I think I’m feeling sympathy chills for all of the negative numbers popping up around the country.

So there I am, sitting on the couch, shivering and drinking a cup of coffee, when I started dreaming about warmer weather. Specifically, I started thinking about beaches and sunshine—lots and lots of sunshine. One thing led to another and then I started thinking about cruises. And then it hit me that next month we’re going on a cruise to the Bahamas. (This is what parenthood will do to you—you forget big, exciting things, like an upcoming four-day cruise!)

In light of thinking about sunny places and warmer weather, I thought I’d share this fun infographic from Virgin Holiday Cruises:

http://www.virginholidayscruises.co.uk/cruise-with-celebrities.phtml

So this cracked me up. Guess which celebrity UK cruisers would most like to send overboard if they saw him on a ship. I’ll give you a hint. His name rhymes with Fieber.

Yeah, that sounds about right. His hair wouldn’t last a day on my boat either.

I LOVE the idea of cruising with celebrities. I mean, a cruise is already fantastic to begin with, but then add in some star sightings on the ship and it’d take it to a whole new level.

If you click on the picture you can see the celebrities people in Britain would like to cruise with on a Virgin cruise, but I figured it’d be fun to share who I’d like to see on board:

While working out:
Dara Torres (because she’s awesome and I could use some pointers on how to get back into swimming)
As cabin host:
AC Slater (Mario Lopez, of course; I just still think of Saved By the Bell whenever I see him)
In the cabaret suite:
Adele or Norah Jones
As head chef(s):
the cast of The Chew
As the headline act:
Maroon 5 (because after all these years I’m still a huge fan)

(Bonus) Who I’d like to accidently bump into:
(in no particular order) Matt Bomer, Niel Patrick Harris (hmmm I’m sensing a theme with those two), George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Tina Fey, and Mandy Moore.

Okay, now it’s your turn…who would you want to see on your cruise AND where would you want to go?

*This post is in collaboration with Virgin Holiday Cruises, but all opinions were clearly my own.

Well congrats on the cruise next month! I am green with envy about that lil January vacay. I love this celeb mashup. Oh Adele and Norah would make the perfect cabaret combo. Agreed. Happy I stumbled over to your sweet lil blog :]

So jealous! Cruising has always been my dream but I'm a college student so I think I'll have to wait a couple of years… It's a funny infographic by the way! Would agree with 28,2 % of the voters to send him out to the sea… Lol

I love cruises! Since I've already been to the Caribbean a few times, I'll choose a Mediterranean Cruise near Europe.

I would chose Vin Diesel because of his hard body and I could just stare at him. I would also choose Jason Sudekis, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell, and Aziz Ansari because they are the funniest guys ever.

hey, I'm Jess!
I'm an Air Force wife and mom with three kids currently living in Germany. I'm always planning our next trip and feeding my hungry family with easy meals. If I'm not doing one of those two things, you'll probably find me drinking a second cup of coffee, reading a book, or taking a nap.

I'm so happy you're here!
