Talking Date v.5
Because there are apparently things on my mind…I’m currently:
Guest posting over at The Girl in the Red Shoes. I signed up for her Breastfeeding Diaries months
ago and my turn finally came around the corner. I’m really proud of my
breastfeeding tale and would love for you to read about it!
Watching Big Bang Theory. We usually watch the reruns after we put Julia down for bed, but I found a good deal for the series on Amazon before Father’s Day and got it for my husband. The best gifts can be shared, right? We started watching it a looooong time ago, but I figured it’d be fun to start from the beginning again. When does Amy Farrah Fowler appear? she’s my favorite.
Excited to watch Modern Family. Just like I get my husband DVDs, he got me the MF series for Christmas. I’ve been saving it to watch once he deploys. Every episode I’ve ever seen has made me laugh so hard I almost pee my pants, so naturally, I figure it’ll be the best way to spend those lonely nights.
Still geeking out over the fact that Alton Brown (THE Alton Brown!!) tweeted me the other night with his classic post-it note. Best five minutes of fame, ever. Plus, we’re practically BFFs now. Oh, and I peed during the commercial break, in case you’re wondering.
Giving away a Cuisinart Baby Food Maker. Y’all need to jump on this giveaway if you haven’t already. If you think you can’t use it because you BLW (baby led wean), think again. Julia’s way past the “baby food” stage and we’re still using it.
Totally over the stupid radio stations here that only play the same two songs over and over and over again. If I hear the stupid “wiggle” song or “I’m so fancy” song one more time I may scream.
Also completely over this absolutely ridiculous humidity. ‘Nuff said.
Brainstorming ways to entertain my daughter. See above statement about the heat. Add in a backyard with too many bugs and we don’t spend much time outside, which sucks. I did, however, go out and get a pretty cool baby pool, but I have no desire to actually put it outside. We walked to the mailbox today and Julia’s cheeks were bright red when we came back in and she was all sweaty. I felt so bad for her. WE WALKED TO THE MAILBOX! This heat is no joke.
Craving berries. They’re just so fresh and delicious. I was eating the last of my strawberries the other day and Julia wanted some, so I gave her some. Then she wanted more, so I gave her more. Then she ate them all…and I was sad.
Extremely thankful because I locked my entire purse in the car yesterday. I’m thankful because I usually put Julia in first, and had I done that, she would’ve been locked in the car. I’m still shuddering just thinking about it. Luckily, USAA came to my rescue. I really need to memorize some local friend’s numbers in case I can’t get to my phone and need to call someone.
Totally digging these Huggie’s Clutch ‘n’ Clean wipes. I can’t tell you how many times I love pouches of wipes. It’s ridiculous how many packages we have floating around our car. Well, I finally found a solution with these colorful packages. #score
Also totally loving these itty-bitty popsicle molds. I know I mentioned them briefly in yesterday’s post (along with the recipe and giveaway—hint, hint), but they’re just so perfect!
Offering 25% all my large ad spots through the weekend. Use the code SMILE! on my sponsor page and get ready to start hanging out on my sidebar! (For real, can’t wait to work with you!)
Laughing at this comic my husband sent me about cuddling. It’s so true and awesome and hilarious.
Possibly packing. We may or may not be going out of town for the Fourth. There’s a little tropical storm headed our way, so we’re debating if we want to head to the coast or not. I have a reservation made, I just need to figure out if we’re keeping it.
In desperate need of a pedicure.
Okay, that’s all from me today! What are you currently up to and what are your Fourth of July plans?
I just got some popsicle molds yesterday and I cannot wait to use them!
LOVED having you share your story on my blog. Thanks again!
