The Vintage Honey Shop Review + Giveaway

*********GIVEAWAY CLOSED*********

Hair, jewelry, keys, faces, toys, bra straps…if it’s near a baby’s little hands—it doesn’t matter what it is—she will grab it. And let me tell you, when that something is actually on your body (like your hair, for example), and she’s yanking on it, it’s pretty annoying and uncomfortable. Not to mention the fact that whatever she’s grabbing will—9 times out of 10—go straight into her mouth. Ugh!

This is where the best mama accessory—ever—comes into play: a teething necklace!

The Vintage Honey Shop teething necklace

I discovered The Vintage Honey Shop a couple years ago, just before Julia started teething, and I quickly purchased a necklace and wore it allllll the time, so it got tons of wear (but not tear) during her teething days. She loved grabbing, playing, holding, and gnawing on it; I loved it because I knew it was safe for her to put in her mouth, and it was a fun accessory—I got compliments on it every time I wore the necklace.

Now that Madilyn’s at the stage where she’s trying to grab everything, I’ve started wearing my necklaces again. I actually have two other necklaces from The Vintage Honey Shop (another teething necklace, and a ring necklace) and I love them all. The designs are funky, they’re totally fun to look at, you can change the length of the necklace, and I really appreciate how easy they are to clean (I just wash with a little soap and water and let it air dry). Right now, Madilyn loves playing with it while I nurse her. I think she loves looking at the different colors and feeling the texture of the fabric and wooden beads.

They recently added some silicone necklaces to their shop, and I’m totally gushing over them. These days I only wear non-teething necklaces if I go out anywhere without the kids (which isn’t often), so I love the variety they’re offering. The adorable shop is full of so many different designs, that I bet you won’t be able to pick just one favorite. They come hand wrapped and ready to give as a gift—if you know of anyone about to have a baby, a necklace would make a fabulous baby shower gift. As a bonus, they’re all made right here in America—hooray for supporting our local economy!
